That's amazing! (I'm especially interested in the pu'erh and look forward to a review!) How did this "tea swap" begin to happen? How does it work and where would you apply?
I don’t really know how it began: I celebrated my first one last month. But it’s run by the people at the Tea Review Blog, which has a TON of reviews of different teas. There’s a Facebook group for the swap, and the signup form is here. The Facebook group is great - lots of very nice people to talk to!
Basically you just submit the form, and in the first week of the month, you get an email with your partner’s contact information, likes/dislikes, etc, and then you have the rest of the month to put together a nice little package for them! Everyone is so kind and so friendly, and it’s a wonderful little thing to do.
So I would suggest to all my followers - check it out, even just once! Registration for April is currently ongoing until March 31!
I really don’t like mixing blogs; I much prefer to keep my fandom preferences confined to my personal, and my tea confined over here. But I thought this was relevant, so here goes!
I really want to get into blending more of my own tea, because it’s a lot cheaper that way and it’s so much more personal. So as a challenge / exercise to myself, I’m starting to blend my way through the Doctor Who television series. Because I really like tea and I really like Who and I drink a lot of tea while watching Who.
I currently have two teas finished (pictures soon!) and I have sketches for several more. When I go home for break I’m going to get ingredients so I can start for real. I’m so excited!
